This is a hospital-employed outpatient position based at Siena Medical Clinic, a multi-specialty clinic on the St. Catherine Hospital campus that connects to the hospital by an interior tunnel. The practice runs on Epic and centers on adult primary care.

Garden City and the surrounding communities rely on St. Catherine Hospital as the primary source of care in the region. Adult primary care demand continues to grow, and this position replaces an internist who moved to part-time while expanding access for the clinic's adult and geriatric patients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage an outpatient adult primary care panel, ages 16 and older
  • Provide continuity care for geriatric patients, including periodic in-person rounds at area nursing facilities
  • Support population health and Medicare Shared Savings work, including annual wellness visits, preventive visits, chronic disease management, screenings, and quality outcomes
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers, sign collaborative agreements, and mentor newer APPs; review physician assistant charts for the first 45 days, then periodically
  • Share minimal phone-only after-hours call on a rotating basis

Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Comfortable managing an adult-only panel, ages 16 and older
  • Kansas medical license or eligibility
  • Interest in collaborating with and mentoring advanced practice providers
  • Interest in geriatric and nursing-facility care preferred
  • New graduates considered
  • Visa candidates considered

The physician reports to the medical leadership at Siena Medical Clinic.
