Meet Our Team

A Collaborative Team Committed to Excellence

At Marshall Cancer Center, you'll join a close-knit team of professionals who have created a supportive, patient-centered environment where collaboration is the foundation of exceptional care. The center's staff is characterized by remarkable stability and experience, with many team members having worked together for 5–10 years or more. This continuity translates to seamless operations, institutional knowledge, and the kind of collegial relationships that make daily practice a pleasure.

Your physician colleague is a highly respected hematologist-oncologist who has built strong relationships with both patients and staff. The practice has been designed for two full-time physicians, with plans to add a nurse practitioner to assist with follow-up visits, allowing you to focus on new patients and complex cases. This staffing model ensures appropriate coverage while maintaining work-life balance for all providers.

  • Dedicated Medical Assistant assigned exclusively to you who will handle patient rooming, vital signs, preliminary documentation, and coordination of care
  • Exceptional clinic nurse (RN) who assists with triage, telephone calls, refills, and managing your in-basket, highly praised by current physicians for her comprehensive support
  • Three experienced front office staff who handle scheduling, check-in, and insurance verification efficiently
  • Two nurse navigators who guide patients through their cancer journey from diagnosis onward, connecting them with resources and ensuring smooth transitions of care
  • On-site team of three pharmacists and two pharmacy technicians who specialize in oncology and work directly with physicians on treatment planning and management
  • Two financial navigators who help patients navigate insurance, copayments, and medication assistance programs
  • Full-time social worker and dietitian dedicated to oncology patients' needs
  • Clinical Research Coordinator who prescreens patients for trials and manages research participation

The multidisciplinary approach extends to the broader medical community, with excellent relationships with primary care physicians, surgeons, and other specialists throughout the area. The current physician has established strong collaborative relationships with UC Davis specialists who provide virtual consultations and participate in tumor boards, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.

Perhaps most notable about the Marshall Cancer Center team is the family-like atmosphere that permeates the practice. Staff members describe a deeply supportive environment where everyone works together toward the common goal of excellent patient care. This collaborative culture extends to considering physician needs and preferences, with staff being highly adaptable to different practice styles.

When you join this team, you'll experience the rare combination of highly experienced, stable support staff and the flexibility to develop your practice in alignment with your personal style and goals. The result is a practice environment where you can focus on medicine while feeling supported by colleagues who are committed to both patient care and physician satisfaction.
