As you step into this Internal Medicine role with Norman Regional Health System, you enter a practice built intentionally for physicians who want to deliver high quality care without sacrificing balance or autonomy. You will join a fast-growing health system that is expanding outpatient services across Norman and the southern Oklahoma City corridor, driven by significant population growth and the opening of new, state-of-the-art facilities. From day one, you will feel the difference of working in an organization where leadership listens, invests in providers, and designs workflows that support the way you practice best.
Your work will directly impact a rapidly expanding region where new clinics are opening to meet increasing patient demand. The system’s investment in modern outpatient sites, coupled with a newly built 290-bed hospital and robust specialty network, creates an environment where you can deliver comprehensive primary care while knowing your patients have strong support across the continuum. Because most openings are driven by growth rather than turnover, you will step into a thriving practice rather than repairing a struggling one.
Your schedule is structured to give you both professional momentum and personal time. You will work a four-day week totaling 36 patient-facing hours, plus a half-day of administrative time that can be completed from home. Physicians often note that this admin time rarely requires more than minimal effort when documentation is kept up, allowing you to finish your week without feeling drained.
You will experience a practice culture that stands apart from systems where leadership disappears after onboarding. Physicians consistently describe feeling heard, supported, and valued. Leadership makes regular onsite visits to ensure you have what you need, and they take swift action to address concerns or improve workflows. This approach extends into Norman Regional’s commitment to continuous improvement, including investments in virtual scribes and examining new tools that enhance patient interaction and reduce administrative burden.
In this role, you will walk into a thriving system, a supportive leadership team, and a patient population deeply appreciative of accessible, high-quality care.
