The cardiology team at MedStar Franklin Square is part of an integrated regional service line that spans four hospitals across the Baltimore area. Incoming physicians will work alongside an established group of cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and interventionalists, supported by experienced regional leadership and a dedicated APP team.

Dr. Najjar oversees cardiology services at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, and MedStar Harbor Hospital, plus the system’s ambulatory cardiology practices. He is a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University and an internationally recognized advanced heart failure specialist.
Sriram Padmanabhan, MD, currently serves as Chief of Cardiology at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. His clinical focus is non-invasive cardiology with particular interest in cardiac imaging and cardio-oncology.

Five APPs support the Franklin Square cardiology team when fully staffed. They operate with approximately 80 percent autonomy within a team-based model alongside the physicians, with responsibility for outpatient panels, inpatient consult support, discharge planning, and transfer coordination to Union Memorial.
