Position Overview

Understanding the Role

A Physician Role Central to Regional Cancer Care

You will practice as a Medical Oncologist at Cody Regional Health’s Cancer Center, serving as a core physician for a program that has reached record patient volumes and continues to grow. The center functions as the primary oncology destination for a 90-mile radius, caring for patients who would otherwise need to travel to Billings or farther for treatment. Your presence strengthens local access to high-quality cancer care and supports a community that depends on this program.

This role places you in a purpose-built cancer center completed in 2018, where medical and radiation oncology work side by side. You will manage a broad oncology case mix and contribute to ongoing service expansion, including planned SRS and SBRT capabilities. The infrastructure, staffing, and patient demand are already in place, allowing you to step into an active practice from day one rather than building volume from scratch.

Key role elements include:

  • Full-time Medical Oncology physician position delivering comprehensive cancer care
  • Independent clinical practice with strong nursing, APP, and support staff
  • Diverse oncology case mix including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
  • Regional referral base covering northwestern Wyoming and surrounding communities
  • Collaboration with radiation oncology as advanced services continue to expand
  • Practice environment proven to function effectively even during prior physician transitions
  • Modern cancer center with integrated technology and patient-focused design

You join a program with momentum, stability, and a clear mission. Your work directly impacts access to care across an entire region while allowing you to practice oncology in a setting that values quality, continuity, and professional satisfaction.
