PEM physicians can further increase their earnings through extra PEM shifts or urgent care moonlighting, with hourly rates expected to increase following upcoming budget reviews.

Performance & Incentive Bonuses

  • Patient Safety & Quality (PSQ) Bonus:
  • Up to 5% of base salary
  • All physicians share in the group’s overall performance
  • Currently tracking at 4.5% out of 5% for the year
  • Teaching & Mentorship Incentives:
  • Small stipend for mentoring residents and medical students
  • Additional earnings available for research and educational contributions

Sign-On & Relocation Bonuses

To support physicians transitioning into their new roles, Phoenix Children’s offers upfront bonuses to ease relocation and onboarding costs.

  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 - $15,000

  • Life Insurance: 2x annual earnings (up to $1.5M) – employer-paid
  • Short-Term Disability: 100% of base salary for 26 weeks (after a 7-day waiting period)
  • Long-Term Disability: 60% of base salary (up to $12,000/month)
  • Supplemental Long-Term Disability: Available up to $15,000/month

Paid Time Off & CME Allowances
