The incoming physician joins one of the largest and fastest growing cardiovascular programs in the Upper Midwest. The Sanford Cardiovascular Institute spans multiple subspecialties and continues to add physicians across its service line. The Advanced Heart Failure physician will be the first permanent physician dedicated to that service, working alongside an established team and an experienced advanced practice provider group.

Leadership is expanding across the cardiovascular service line, which reflects rising demand in the region.
An experienced APP team supports the Advanced Heart Failure service across outpatient and inpatient settings. Leadership anticipates assigning dedicated APP support to the incoming physician, which allows flexibility in practice style and efficient management of a growing patient population.
Sanford maintains two accredited cardiology fellowships. Fellows provide first-call coverage for inpatient cardiology services, which reduces attending call burden and creates an academic environment without the expectations typical of large university programs.
The Advanced Heart Failure physician collaborates across the cardiovascular and critical care teams, including Cardiothoracic Surgery, Critical Care, General Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. This structure supports program development in cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, and future adult ECMO services.
