Endocrinology at Bemidji is a solo practice model today, and this role is central to rebuilding and growing the service. You would practice with a dedicated nursing support role and an APP being recruited to add capacity, backed by an established support team and close working relationships across the hospital.
You work in a co-management model with Radiology, ER, Hospitalists, and Primary Care, with shared decision-making across departments. For advanced or tertiary care, you have the endocrinology team at Sanford Fargo to coordinate with, which extends your reach without pulling you out of the Bemidji clinic.
The environment is described as close-knit and supportive, with full system resources behind a physician who keeps autonomy over clinic operations. You have the standing to shape how the practice runs, how the APP is used once hired, and how referral relationships develop as the service line grows.
