This role covers the full scope of breast imaging, from screening through diagnostics and image-guided procedures. Your daily mix shifts by site and team coverage, but the work centers on high-volume mammography reading paired with biopsies and other procedures. You work with modern equipment and a support team built to keep you focused on reads and procedures.
Your daily assignment depends on the site and how the team is covering that day. At smaller sites, one radiologist typically handles diagnostics, procedures, and screening reads together across the day. At the larger breast center, one radiologist is assigned to procedures and another to diagnostics, with both reading screenings in between.
Typical daily volume falls around 50 to 60 RVUs, driven largely by screening reads. Procedure and diagnostic counts vary by assignment:

The program is interested in expanding contrast-enhanced mammography. The equipment at some sites supports it and staff are capable, so a radiologist interested in that work could help restart the service. Breast MRI and MRI-guided biopsy work is also available for radiologists who want to use the full range of their training.
