The cancer center has operated at its current location for about 10 years, roughly five miles from the St. Vincent Regional Hospital main campus. The medical oncology and radiation oncology clinics share one building and one scheduling desk. Most patients see their physician, complete labs, and receive infusion on the same day.
The practice follows a general community oncology model, so you will see a broad mix of cases. The team will also consider physicians who want to divide their time between general oncology and a focused interest, up to about an even split.

The current physicians see a high patient volume by choice. You are not expected to match it. Locum physicians at the center have worked at 15 to 20 patients per day, and the team supports you in building a schedule that fits your practice.
Patients from Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City travel to Billings for their first visit and any acute visits. All other care for these patients is delivered by telehealth, a model the team has used successfully. You will need to be comfortable with telehealth. Travel to Miles City is not required, though the team supports it if you want to see patients there in person.
