You will join an established, multi-provider orthopedic team at Good Shepherd Orthopedics, working alongside fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists. The clinical teams are described as highly collaborative and friendly, with strong coordination across orthopedics, podiatry, and physical therapy.
| Provider | Role | Clinical Focus |
|---|---|---|
| James Whittum, MD | Orthopedic Surgeon | Hand fractures and joint replacements |
| Patrick Dawson, MD | Orthopedic Surgeon | Sports medicine |
| Tamara Simpson, MD | Orthopedic Surgeon | Sports medicine, trauma |
| Matthew Thompson, MD | Orthopedic Surgeon | Total joints, limb salvage, trauma, oncology |
| Kyle Duncan, DPM | Podiatrist | Foot and ankle |
| Donald Carlson, DPM | Podiatrist | Foot and ankle |
The orthopedic surgeons carry distinct subspecialty focuses across hand, sports medicine, trauma, total joints, and limb salvage, which gives the non-surgical practice a broad and well-supported referral base. As the non-surgical APP, you will work directly with the surgical team on the conservative management and recovery of patients who do not require operative care, and coordinate closely with onsite physical and occupational therapy.
The practice operates from the newly expanded Good Shepherd Orthopedics location in Hermiston, which roughly doubled exam room, procedure room, and onsite radiology capacity, supporting growth of the provider team and patient access across the region.
