Good Shepherd Medical Center is hiring a board-certified or board-eligible Infectious Disease physician to serve as the dedicated ID specialist for its eastern Oregon service area. The role combines outpatient clinic work with inpatient and emergency department consultation, wound care collaboration with the Good Shepherd Treatment Center, and the opportunity to develop specialty clinics in Hepatitis C and HIV care. Role Purpose
- Serve as the dedicated Infectious Disease specialist for Good Shepherd Medical Center
- Support the Treatment Center's wound care program with expert consultation on osteomyelitis and complex infections
- Provide inpatient and emergency department ID consultation during standard weekday hours
- Participate in antibiotic stewardship across the hospital and medical group
- Develop outpatient specialty service lines in Hepatitis C and HIV care
- Build the ID presence for a service population of approximately 75,000 across Umatilla and Morrow Counties

Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Infectious Disease
- Internal Medicine residency completion
- Active or eligible Oregon license
- Interest in antibiotic stewardship, wound care collaboration, or HIV/Hep C program development preferred
Primary Responsibilities
- Outpatient ID clinic with established and referred patients
- Inpatient and emergency department consultation during standard weekday hours
- Osteomyelitis and complex wound-related infection consultation with the Treatment Center
- Antibiotic stewardship program participation
- Outpatient Hepatitis C clinic development as the program evolves
- Outpatient HIV clinic development as the program evolves
Reporting and Service Area
The ID physician reports to Good Shepherd Medical Group leadership and collaborates with the Treatment Center medical director, hospitalists, emergency department, and primary care teams. Good Shepherd Medical Center serves Hermiston and the surrounding Umatilla County region in northeastern Oregon, with a referral reach that extends into southeastern Washington and the Tri-Cities corridor.
