Clinical Component

Navigating the Clinical Component

The clinical environment at both locations is structured for sustainable, high-quality outpatient care. Patient volume starts low and grows gradually, giving the incoming physician time to build relationships with their panel and establish workflow preferences before volume increases. The practice serves a primarily adult population with a broad scope of primary care, including chronic disease management, acute care, preventive medicine, and wellness visits. Physicians who want to incorporate women's health services have the flexibility to do so.

Schedule and Call Structure

The clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There are no night, weekend, or in-house call obligations. After-hours calls are triaged by the hospital's ER and nursing team before being directed to the physician by phone only. The 5-day work week applies during the panel-building phase. Once the patient panel is established, the physician may transition to a 4-day clinical schedule.

APP Collaboration

The Hartwell clinic currently has an NP on staff. The incoming physician at that location will have the opportunity to supervise the APP and receive a $10,000 annual stipend for doing so. The APP handles a portion of the clinical volume, supporting a collaborative team environment.
