Clinical Practice

This is a full outpatient rheumatology practice with autonomy over how you manage patient care. The case mix in the Central Valley is varied and clinically engaging, and the referral network keeps the schedule as full as you want it. You control appointment pacing, panel building, and treatment approach within a well-supported clinic.

Patient Population

The Central Valley presents a broad and complex rheumatologic case mix. You would regularly manage:

  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Lupus
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Vasculitis
  • Gout
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Spondyloarthropathies, including ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis
  • Infectious arthritis
  • Sjögren's syndrome
  • Scleroderma
  • Polymyalgia rheumatica
  • Juvenile idiopathic arthritis

The pathology in this region keeps the work clinically interesting, and patient demand supports as full a practice as you want to build.

Visit Structure

  • Rheumatologists see a combination of new patients and follow-ups
  • Appointments run 20 to 30 minutes, with physician autonomy over patient care
  • The target is about 20 patients per day, with flexibility to see more for added production
  • The advanced practice provider handles most established follow-up visits, which protects physician time for new and complex cases

Procedures
