As a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider at Cody Regional Health, you will practice in a setting where your clinical judgment is trusted and your role is clearly defined. This is a true inpatient position in a Critical Access Hospital where you manage your own patient panel, collaborate closely with physicians, and practice medicine without constant production pressure or unnecessary bureaucracy. Your workdays are structured, predictable, and focused on patient care, supported by a team that values communication and mutual respect.
Cody Regional Health serves as the primary inpatient facility for a wide geographic region in northwestern Wyoming, with a catchment area of roughly 60,000 residents. With no other critical access hospitals within 35 miles, the hospitalist team plays a vital role in ensuring timely, high-quality inpatient care for the community. This position exists due to a clear and ongoing need for a permanent daytime APP as part of a stable, hospital-employed hospitalist program.
You will work a daytime 7-on, 7-off schedule, managing approximately 12 patients per day with one to three new admissions on average. Multidisciplinary rounds occur daily at 10 a.m., creating consistent touchpoints with nursing, case management, pharmacy, and therapy services. Overnight coverage is handled by telemedicine providers, allowing you to fully disconnect when your shift ends.
This role offers the opportunity to practice meaningful inpatient medicine with autonomy, support, and balance, while becoming an essential part of a close-knit medical team serving a community that truly relies on its hospital.
