Your clinical practice will focus entirely on outpatient diagnostic imaging with a workload designed for clarity, efficiency, and manageable expectations. Every day you support a large primary care and urgent care network that depends on your timely reads to guide real time clinical decisions. You will interpret studies for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, including musculoskeletal cases from a high volume orthopedic service line.
The majority of your workflow centers on x ray interpretation, accounting for seventy nine percent of all studies. Ultrasound studies make up the next most common modality, with a mix of general ultrasound, some gynecologic studies, and very basic vascular exams. CT is the smallest percentage of work and does not include advanced oncology reads. Orthopedists read their own x rays performed in their offices, leaving you responsible only for studies performed at primary care, urgent care, and outpatient imaging centers.
Technology supports every part of your workflow. You will use EPIC for communication through secure chat and Microsoft Teams for quick collaboration with referring clinicians. Radiology workflows run through Visage, the systemwide PACS platform that gives you efficient, integrated access to studies across all HTPN locations. Dedicated IT specialists and five PACS administrators ensure your workstation, software, and connections remain reliable.
