After you, and your spouse/significant other, have reviewed the information on the practice and community, and you are interested in being considered for the opportunity, kindly forward a copy of your CV if we do not already have it. We will need to spend some time on the phone with you, and your significant other, to gain a clear understanding of your current situation. We will document that information in the form of a cover letter and forward it to our client.
We will verify your board certification and all state licenses. You will need to complete our electronic candidate background disclosure form via DocuSign which will automatically be sent to your Recruiter Consultant. If you have any current or past background issues, malpractice cases that were dropped, settled, or still pending we will need them to be disclosed to our client. Kindly provide a brief written explanation of these cases.
We will forward your information, along with potential interview dates, to Dr. Anette Virta-Paras, Executive Director, MedStar Medical Group Radiology and Dr. James Jelinek, Chairman Radiology Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Jelinek will reach out to you for a short introductory call. Should that call go well, you will then speak with several members of the Nighthawk team to get a feel for their personalities and how you will fit into the group.
After your interviews we will receive feedback from everyone that meets you. We will follow up with you regarding your interest and the next steps. If an offer is extended it will be in the form of a non-binding Letter of Intent. Once you sign the Letter of Intent, an executable contract will be sent to you electronically. The contract should arrive within two-three weeks.
All offers are contingent upon referencing and credentialling. Our client will want to conduct three to five professional references on your behalf. Provide the references’ name, title, relationship to you and contact information. These should be physicians and staff members that know you well and can discuss your clinical skills, fund of knowledge, how you work with others etc. Please prepare your references, so they know when to expect the contact and the best time to reach them. Should you need to keep your search confidential, we will respect your wishes. However, should an offer be extended after your interview, you should be prepared to submit your reference list.
Upon acceptance of your offer and execution of your contract, you will need to complete a state license, medical staff application and credentialing with MedStar Managed Care Credentialing. Medical staff credentialing takes on average 60-90 days to be completed. Applying for a state license in Maryland and DC may take 60-90 days. To expedite this process, it will be important to fill out the application completely.
