Good Shepherd Medical Center is recruiting a full-time OB/GYN to join its established Women's Center in Hermiston, Oregon. This is a hospital-employed position with a balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecology, supported by an experienced surgical and clinical team. The Women's Center has strong community demand and is in a period of continued growth, with recent facility expansion and rising delivery and surgical volumes.
Good Shepherd is an independent, community-owned health system. It operates without a large corporate parent, which allows local leadership to make decisions and adjust practice operations without waiting on outside approval. The organization carries 400+ days cash on hand.
The Women's Center is growing. Delivery and surgical volumes have increased significantly over the past year and a half, and the team recently added new providers. This position adds capacity to meet rising patient demand and to continue building the OB/GYN service line.
Setting: Hospital-employed, independent community health system
Schedule: Optional 4-day work week, days starting around 7:30 to 8:00 AM
Daily volume: 18 to 25 patients per day
Clinic support: Dedicated Medical Assistant for every provider, plus an onsite RN Supervisor
Exam rooms: 2 per provider
EMR: Epic, with integrated scribe
Trauma designation: Level 4-Critical Access Hospital
Providers work a 4-day schedule, with most on a Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday rotation. Days start around 7:30 to 8:00 AM. The role carries a balanced obstetrics and gynecology caseload, and the group is open to physicians who prefer to weight their practice more toward one side.
Leadership opportunity is available for physicians who want it, though it is not a requirement of the role. There is also limited opportunity to teach.
