Physician Recruitment Process and Compensation Overview
This is a production-based practice with uncapped earning potential. Physicians are paid monthly on the total units they generate at a net unit value of $45.50, plus fixed stipends for specific shifts. There is no base salary and no cap. What you earn reflects the cases you work, and every additional case adds directly to your income. New physicians reach full earning quickly, with typical monthly income in the range of $60,000 to $100,000 after ramp-up.

Shift Stipends
These stipends are paid on top of unit production and go entirely to the physician who works the shift.

Earning Potential
- A physician working a full general call schedule with six to eight weeks of vacation can expect roughly $800,000 to $900,000 per year
- Physicians who pick up additional work can reach $1 million or more
- Several senior physicians who work heavier schedules earn between $1.5 million and $2 million annually
- High-volume production days are achievable; individual days exceeding $10,000 in production occur on busy schedules
Time Off
- Approximately eight weeks of vacation per year
- Ability to pick up additional weeks when other physicians release them
- Vacation scheduled a year in advance with flexibility to trade
Malpractice and Benefits
- Malpractice coverage available at a group rate through The Doctors Company
- Claims-made policy with $1 million / $3 million limits
- As a 1099 practice, physicians manage their own health insurance, retirement, and tax structure, with established group resources and recommendations available for CPA, S-corporation setup, health insurance, and housing
Relocation
- Relocation reimbursement up to $10,000
- No sign-on bonus
Structure and Separation
- Equal earning footing from day one, with no buy-in
- Full-time defined as working every scheduled week outside of vacation, roughly 44 weeks per year
- Mutual 90-day notice policy for separation
