Growing Women's Health Practice in Rural Oregon

As an OB/GYN at Good Shepherd Medical Center, you'll join a thriving women's health practice where your expertise will directly address the increasing healthcare needs of Hermiston and surrounding northeastern Oregon communities. Unlike metropolitan practices where you might feel like just another provider in a large system, here you'll become an essential member of a close-knit team making a measurable impact on community health outcomes.

Your arrival will help manage the steadily increasing birth rate that has grown from 324 deliveries in 2022 to a projected 462 in 2024 – a testament to both community growth and trust in Good Shepherd's maternal care services.

Walking through the doors each morning, you'll be greeted by familiar faces in a supportive environment where every team member recognizes their vital role in improving women's health across the lifespan. With a balanced four-day workweek, you'll provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care while maintaining the personal well-being that makes you an effective, compassionate physician.

  • Full-scope OB/GYN practice with opportunity to utilize your complete skill set across obstetrics and gynecology
  • Supportive team environment with 5 other OB/GYNs who collaborate closely on patient care
  • Growing community need demonstrated by increasing delivery volumes year over year
  • Balanced lifestyle with a four-day workweek and structured call system designed to prevent burnout
  • Advanced surgical capabilities including Da Vinci Xi robotic system with a second unit arriving by end of year
  • Commitment to appropriate care levels with established referral relationships for high-risk cases
  • Board certification required (Board eligible if completing training) with preference for 5+ years experience

This position represents an opportunity to practice modern, high-quality women's healthcare while enjoying the professional autonomy and personal lifestyle that brought you to medicine initially. Your leadership and expertise will directly contribute to elevating maternal and women's health services in a community that genuinely needs and values your skills.
