New gastroenterologists typically begin with a guarantee of $625,000, which includes a $550,000 base salary and a 10% citizenship bonus ($55,000) based on metrics like teamwork and timely documentation. Required ER call earns a $600 per night stipend, totaling approximately $20,000 annually.

Your productivity is further rewarded with RVU compensation at $64 per RVU beyond the bonus threshold. Current physicians are generating between 7,300–12,000 RVUs annually, providing substantial upside for motivated GI specialists.

Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) partnership is available in years 2–3 with buy-ins based on third-party valuation. Current ROI is between 25–35%, offering a compelling long-term revenue stream.
